Splendor Solis: Alchemical Treatises of Solomon Trismosin

Illuminated alchemical treatise attributed to Salomon Trismosin, a figure known mainly through legend. Its twenty-two allegorical paintings are preserved in a richly illuminated manuscript on vellum dated 1582 in the British Museum (now British Library) collections. This 1920 English edition reproduces those pictures together with an English rendering of the treatises; the digitized copies come from Brigham Young University and Cornell University libraries.
