Enochian Magic: Books & Primary Texts

The angelic language of John Dee and Edward Kelley.

Enochian magic is a system of angelic communication recorded by the Elizabethan mathematician and royal advisor John Dee and his scryer Edward Kelley in the 1580s. Through a series of visionary sessions they set down an entire angelic language, complete with its own alphabet, grammar, and a set of invocations known as the Calls or Keys.

Left largely dormant for three centuries, the system was rediscovered and systematised by the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn and later expanded by Aleister Crowley, becoming one of the most distinctive and demanding branches of Western ceremonial magic.
