Meditations

Free full text

Marcus Aurelius’s Meditations is a private notebook of Stoic reflections on duty, virtue, mortality, and self-mastery. Though not an occult text in the strict sense, it has long been valued in esoteric circles for its disciplined inwardness, and readers will find concise philosophical maxims and ethical exercises.

About Marcus Aurelius

Marcus Aurelius (121–180 CE) was Roman emperor and a major Stoic philosopher whose Meditations became one of the most influential texts of classical moral and spiritual literature. Though not esoteric in a strict sense, his reflections on self-discipline, providence, and the inner life were widely read in later philosophical and spiritual traditions.
