Proclus (412–485 CE) was a major late antique Neoplatonic philosopher whose works deeply shaped subsequent philosophical and mystical traditions. His writings on metaphysics, theology, and symbolism, especially the *Elements of Theology* and his commentaries, were influential in later Christian, Islamic, and Renaissance esoteric thought.
