Peter of Abano

Peter of Abano (Pietro d'Abano, c. 1257–c. 1316) was an Italian physician, philosopher, and scholar whose works became influential in learned magic, astrology, and natural philosophy. He is associated with the transmission of Arabic and Aristotelian science into Latin Europe, and later occult writers frequently cited him for his discussions of celestial influences and talismanic practices.
