P. D. Ouspensky (1878–1947) was a Russian philosopher and writer best known for his role in introducing and developing the ideas of G. I. Gurdjieff. His works, including *Tertium Organum* and *In Search of the Miraculous*, became influential in esoteric and spiritual-philosophical circles, especially for their synthesis of mysticism, psychology, and cosmology.
