Ophiel was the pseudonym of Edward F. Lynch (1906–1971), an American occult writer known for practical manuals of ceremonial magic and esoteric development. His books, especially The Art and Practice of Astral Projection and related works, became widely read in the twentieth-century occult revival for their instructional and applied orientation.
