Manly Palmer Hall was a Canadian-born occultist, lecturer, and prolific author whose work helped popularize comparative esotericism in the twentieth century. His best-known book, The Secret Teachings of All Ages (1928), surveyed symbols, myths, mysticism, and initiatory traditions from a wide range of cultures.
