Julius Evola (1898–1974) was an Italian philosopher, political thinker, and esoteric writer whose works drew on Hermeticism, Tantra, alchemy, and traditionalist metaphysics. He became one of the most influential—and controversial—modern interpreters of esoteric and anti-modern traditionalism in European intellectual history.
