Johann Valentin Andreae

Johann Valentin Andreae (1586–1654) was a German Lutheran theologian and writer whose works were important to the development of Christian utopian and esoteric thought. He is especially associated with the Rosicrucian controversy through texts that helped define early modern intellectual and spiritual debates, while also writing on reform, education, and religious life.
