Gerald Gardner (1884–1964) was an English civil servant and author who became the central figure in the modern revival of Witchcraft, or Wicca. His books, including *Witchcraft Today* and *The Meaning of Witchcraft*, were influential in shaping the public presentation of contemporary Pagan and occult practice.
