Dionysius the Areopagite

Dionysius the Areopagite is the pseudonymous author of the late antique Christian mystical corpus now called the Pseudo-Dionysian writings. These works, especially The Mystical Theology and The Divine Names, profoundly shaped medieval and early modern apophatic theology, angelology, and Christian contemplative thought.
